What is the difference between regular therapy and couples’ intensives?
“Regular” Therapy is a slower process that is defined by consistently meeting on a weekly basis until you start experiencing progress and together, we determine to change the frequency of meetings until the process is completed. In many cases it can last 3-6 months minimum. In others it may take longer especially if there have been infidelity and/or trauma experienced. Cases of infidelity may need a minimum of a year. Intensives is an intense, faster process where the assessment is done during the first day of treatment, the rest of the time planned is for therapy. Intensives can last 3-5 days depend on your needs. There are follow up sessions that are set for about 4 weeks after and so on based on progress and outstanding needs.
